About Parcent Consulting

Parcent Consulting is a recently established consultancy providing high quality services to the financial services sector. The founder and CEO has over 30 years of experience of working as an accountant, banker, retail entrepreneur, regulator and senior level consultant, most recently in charge of a team of 30 specialist financial services consultants in a mid-sized US headquartered firm which he left at the end of 2025 to set up Parcent. The business has secured funding to support its growth.

The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to take advantage of developing a unique career with Parcent Consulting. This will be a broad, hands-on role as we establish and grow the business, reporting directly to the founder and CEO, supporting the CEO in business development, client engagement, project and people management and business planning in the exciting early stages of the business. The role will require flexibility in working hours in line with client and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

At this early stage of the business, responsibilities will be wide-ranging and varied, given the exciting projects and clients we will be working with. We are keen to speak to people with a passion for problem solving, building products, mentoring and growing success teams, and delivering high quality outputs.

  • Keeping up to date with regulatory developments that impact Parcent’s client base – both broadly and specific to each assignment
  • Exploring the use of emerging tools and resources (including the use of AI) to deliver high quality services efficiently and support the profitability of the business
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of FCA regulation, including, Suitability, Governance, Market Abuse, Conflicts of Interest, Personal Account Dealing, Inducements, Financial Promotions and Training and Competence and the other areas applicable to primarily MiFID and non-MIFID wealth management firms
  • Supporting the CEO in the delivery of client projects, including oversight, task delegation and quality assurance.
  • Supporting the CEO in the recruitment of team members and for the smooth running of client projects under the overall direction of the CEO
  • Leading client projects, including client engagement, drafting and issuing reports and making recommendations to address any areas of concern.
  • Supporting the CEO to build, manage and motivate a team of highly skilled investments compliance professionals to ensure delivery of compliance solutions to the Group’s clients
  • Multitasking and managing multiple client projects, often to tight deadlines
  • Maintaining operational excellence with a strong understanding of how the business runs commercially including the principles of utilisation, working on client projects as efficiently as possible within the scope provided
  • Leading by example as we develop junior resources and grow and support our culture of excellent client service
  • Being accountable for own time management and that of the junior staff on a project
  • Building strong client relationship and key account management, becoming their trusted advisor

  • The ability to deliver pragmatic solutions that speak to the specific needs of our clients, including their commercial goals
  • Ability to embrace change and be adaptable to the changing requirements of the regulations and be keen to develop new skills accordingly
  • Personal credibility with ability to establish and maintain trusting relationships with others
  • Team working skills that foster effective and productive working relationships to be considerate to the needs and opinions of others

  • Determined attitude with the resilience and tenacity to manage projects from start to finish, with a strong attention to detail

Technical Competencies

  • Strong understanding of the financial services investments/wealth management sector and be able to apply knowledge of applicable regulation to the business requirements of our clients
  • A working knowledge of; MiFID II, SM&CR, COBS, SYSC, Market Abuse, MLRs, and other wealth management related areas of the FCA handbook and guidance.
  • Desire to build and constantly develop technical skills in a rapidly evolving world
  • The level of technical depth required will depend on the nature of client assignments

Experience & Qualifications

  • Relevant Financial services background and experience, which could be in-house or from a consulting firm
  • Certificate/s in financial investments such as the CISI IOC or equivalent qualification beneficial
  • Diploma/s in financial investments such as the CISI IAD, PCIAM or equivalent or working towards qualification beneficial
  • Diploma in Investment Compliance, equivalent or working towards qualification
  • Educational attainment at degree level useful but not essential

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our growing team. This is a mid-level role, suited to an individual with a solid grounding in financial services who is looking to broaden their experience within a high‑growth consultancy environment.

The role will be broad and hands‑on, offering exposure to a range of client engagements and the opportunity to work closely with senior team members on delivery, analysis, and client interaction.

  • Supporting delivery of client projects across regulatory, compliance, and operational change initiatives
    Conducting research, analysis, and documentation to support client engagements
  • Drafting client‑ready materials, reports, and presentations
  • Assisting with the identification and resolution of regulatory or compliance‑related issues
  • Supporting senior colleagues in managing client relationships and project milestones.
  • Keeping up to date with relevant regulatory developments affecting financial services firms
  • Contributing to internal process improvement, knowledge sharing, and development of firm capabilities

We work with clients in investment management and wholesale markets, supporting them with regulatory, compliance, and operational change initiatives.

The Role

We are seeking a Consultant to join our growing team. This is a junior-level role, suited to an individual at an early stage of their consulting or financial services career who is keen to develop technical knowledge, client-facing skills, and experience across a range of regulatory and compliance-related projects.

The role will be hands-on and varied, offering exposure to client delivery work, research and analysis, and the opportunity to work closely with senior colleagues on live engagements.

Key Responsibilities

At this early stage of the business, responsibilities will be wide-ranging and varied, given the exciting projects and clients we will be working with. We are keen to speak to people with a passion for learning new skills, problem solving, and delivering high quality outputs.

  • Supporting the delivery of client projects across regulatory, compliance, and operational change engagements
  • Assisting with the development and review of policies, procedures, and internal documentation
  • Supporting the preparation of client materials, reports, and presentations
  • Assisting with regulatory reviews, and project work under senior supervision
  • Conducting research and analysis to support regulatory and compliance initiatives
  • Assisting with file reviews, audits, and due diligence activities
  • Maintaining and updating project documentation, trackers, and internal systems
  • Supporting the production and review of management information (MI)
  • Keeping up to date with relevant regulatory developments affecting financial services firms
  • Providing general support to the consulting team as required
